Insights is where everything collected meets the flares you logged. It answers three questions with statistics rather than hunches: what was different around your flares, what worked when you used it, and what is already going right on your days with no flare. The weekly notification tells you when something new was found; the findings themselves wait until you open them.

In 724 people with gout, one to two drinks in the prior day went with a 36% higher flare risk and two to four with 51%, for beer, wine and spirits alike.
Neogi et al., Am J Med 2014For each factor the engine compares the days around your flares with your other days using Fisher's exact test, looks at a few days of lag, and corrects for the number of tests it runs. Collected factors read as two averages, for example skin temperature around your flares against your other days. Things you only note now and then are shown as a share of your flares, because there is no fair day-by-day comparison for them. A flare that ran for four days is counted day by day.
The Your triggers card puts the result in three words: strong link, some link, or no link found. Dots show how much data is behind each finding. A link is not a cause, and the app says so on the screen.
Accuracy sets your risk against what actually happened: when the dial said Mild or High, did a flare follow, and when it said Low, did the day stay clear. Combinations lists the pairs that went together with your flare days more than either did alone.
What Worked gives every medicine and relief one of four verdicts: works well, some help, no clear effect, or not enough yet, with the reason underneath. It is your own log read back to you, not a measure of the drug. What Strengthens You is the positive side: steady water, consistent sleep, the habits that turn up on your days with no flare. Nothing on it warns or judges.
What changed sets the last 30 days against the 30 before for every trigger, medicine and relief. How Did It Impact You shows your severity spread, your most common joints and symptoms and what you missed. What Were You Doing is a tally of the activities and places you tagged. Monitor holds one history graph per thing collected.
Insights. What Happened opens with Your triggers, then Patterns and Combinations. Beside it are Accuracy, What Worked, What Strengthens You, What changed, What Were You Doing, How Did It Impact You, the recommendations and the Full Report. Monitor holds one history graph per thing collected.
At least three logged flares before the engine can compare anything; findings firm up with more. What it reports is correlation, stated as correlation. Insights is part of Premium.
At least three before it can compare your flare days with anything, and findings firm up as more come in. What Strengthens You needs no flares at all, because it reads your clear days.
Correlation, stated as correlation. The app tells you whether a factor went with your flares and how strongly, and leaves the judgement to you and your GP or rheumatologist.
